Daily Progression Real Life Case Study Blogging Actions
5th Update: The BLogging ACtions I Took These Last Days
I promised that I would update you about all the REAL-LIFE actions I take to make this blog gain more and more popularity. Those actions are sometimes exciting, interesting, boring, time consuming, hard and so on but the end goal is to benefit from them all tied together. The synergy will be well worth the hard work.
I socialized a lot through Stumble Upon and Mybloglog.
I installed the Seo All in One Plugin.
I brainstormed a lot of money-making ideas:
I’m thinking abou making a product, building a salesletter, promotion, having a wider eBay presence, you know eBay, that gigantic and highly trafficked giant auction+ site. I intend to build a more powerful profile with a bigger store and being all over eBay’s site. I also paid €163 in eBay fees the other day, that’s approx $200. I also noticed that eBay was loosing a lot of traffic since a few months and their Alexa graph is plummetin. It’s terrible. I searched for a possible eBay slap by google as I do not explain why eBay faces such a traffic dump.
On my to-do list, the socialization part of my strategy
I must register in facebook and Bumpzee but did not yet.
Broke The 50 members mark at mybloglog
On the other day (5th septembre 2007) I broke the 50 mybloglog community members mark. It was great. Today they are 330+ to be members of BlogaDollar’s community at mybloglog.
I read Dayjobkiller the entire night, from cover to cover
I read DayjobKiller untill 06:00 am. It was very powerful and inspirationnal and I couldn’t help reading it from cover to cover. I did not intend to do so, but the more I read the more I got excited and the more I wanted to know. Very efficient! Ha! I was broke in the morning.
Strategy, Strategy, Strategy
I also had to re-think my strategy on BlogaDollar because I was back to the faculty as I’m an economics student and the perpective of having no more time to my blogging activities, I could not stand that.
eBay, I’m very active on eBay
I’ve spent a lot of time reading related tips and strategies about how to get traffic to yor eBay store, as eBay seems to loose a lot of traffic, and since eBay is one of my money makers, I’m preparing for the eventuality that my eBay store and profile start to suffer from that traffic loss by overall eBay.
One sidebar project aborted, will be replaced
I told you about the sidebar yesterday, and how the super sidebar project aborted. Well, I wanted to have a 2 part sidebar, 1rst part being dedicated for the blogging tips, and 2nd being dedicated to direct money making tips. Ad I planned to feed those 2 parts with extra smart posts. But I failed keeping it up to date so I dropped the project. I wanted to put in there MMO steps and Blogging steps but too much work involved. I made some background images with gradient colors and spent hours and hours on the project to finally abort it. REAL-LIFE. I even came up with some processes to make the whole thing doable, but, I couldn’t maintain it further.
That day, I got 7 reviews at Stumble Upon, made 2 sales and got money into my paypal account.
Taking action even if you don’t know towards. You’ll see the results sooner or later. Just do it.
Nothing very exciting in this post, I must admit, and nothing well structured. But I publish this anyway for anyone curious enough to read. Anyway, there are actions I took here that will surely add to the bottom line, even though it is not so obvious. This is all tied together with my previous days/weeks actions.

You sound like you are doing very much what I did in my first month - spending a lot of time brainstorming, researching, reading and not actually doing very much! Be careful with this because the time can so easily slip away from you.
I tracked all my time spent during October and I found that I was only spending 20% of my time on activities that could potentially earn me money!
Yes, I’ve read that on your blog. Hmmm. I Always accept good advices. Thanks for this feedback. It helps reajusting.
I a added you as a favorite. I am also a blogger. I added you to mybloglog as awell. I have these thoughts going through my head as well. please check out my blog @ http://www.secfootballblogger.com. I will be checking in regularly to see your progress.
thank you again.
Ethan
What eventually takes is being a workhorse. Keep doing it when you don’t see results. Keep doing it when your results are crappy. Eventually, you’ll say,”This stuff is easy.” Because shortly after the results are crappy phase comes the “where did all this traffic come from” phase. At least, if blogging works like building and promoting regular old sites.
Can you tell me what the Seo All in One Plugin does?
Thanks.
