Mybloglog shows some new avatars. Those are people that visited blogadollar this night, when everybody was sleeping. The logs in the server show 360 visits for yesterday.

17:11 The sidebar must be re-designed to be nicer and blend with the general mood of blogadollar. Something blue and beautiful is needed. The quickest way to produce something great is to look at other blogs at the same time. Those blogs are opened in 15 different tabs and then scanned one by one until a good idea comes up.

17:21 By the way, some little modifications are needed to be made to the reviewmyblog list. Done.

The following will be one of my big money maker.
That’s why it is difficult to setup, I suppose.

17:45 The ultimate goal for blogadollar is to have complete control over its ad space and monetization. One idea I have is to make fake adsense ads. By doing so, those fake adsense ads will look like adsense but will be completely under control. Font size, bold, color, max char number and so on… I know a big trafficed site (johnchow) who should take control of his adsense ad space instead of wasting it trying to make poor cents clicks. Instead, he should use it to affiliate with high converting related products. Oh le sh**t! It messes up big time! When inserting the fake adsense into the post, it is not the font size nor alignement nor anything I said it should be! Wordpress is modifying the rendering! Seriously, this is … Pfffffffff!!!!!

I spent roughly 5 hours and 42 minutes to make this work, as I did not understand at all why wordpress is modifying the font size/ text-decoration / links bold or underlined. I am going to save you the details and just give the solution:

The problem was Wordpress and frontpage do not speak the same langage.

When you make a table and write in frontpage, in speaks points. (pt) When you specify a text size of 5, for example, it returns 18pts. A text size of 3 returns 12pts. Yeah. But wordpress doesn’t speak points Wordpress speaks pixels. (px) So, when frontpage says 18pts, wordpress understand something else in px. And there begins the big mess.
Not only, that, frontpage also lies at you. Why? Even though you un-underline your text, the html code remains unchanged and underline with the <u></u> tags still present. So, when you insert what you’ve created in wordpress, the <u></u> codes are still present and your text is still underlined. But you didn’t want it to be underlined. So you wonder why? You spin your head!… until you see the problem! And that takes a lot of time.
But not only that, the text /table alignment are also messing due to the 2 above problems.
Those 3 problems took me 5 hours to fix. It’s valable to the sidebar’s layout formatting too. I’m glad that I’ve solved them now, I know you must use px under wordpess, you must remove the <u></u> tags anually in the html code, you must ajust the alignment. This has taken a lot of time, but now, this is fixed forever once and for all.

01:25 am Putting more order inn your folders is a key to success. They can be accessed quicker then. Smartftp is a FREE software which you should use for that in addition to uploading files to your website/blog. Try to gather all the same folders together and reduce their number at max, for easy navigation and reference. Delete all unused files or directories . I deleted all the wordpress themes that Ido not use. At this point, blogadollar’s theme will not change to another anymore. I will improve on the current one, wich should it be said, I’m quite proud of. I Fine tuned it myself. Hourrraa!

Always be satisfied of your hard work, even though it seems to lead nowhere because…

OK. Today, the main activities were changing the layout/design of the sidebar + making building the fake adsense table. Now both have their ready template to be used each time they are needed. That’s the good point. The bad point is they are time consumong and took all the day, thus not a lot of on-page and off-page content creation and promotion have been made. But the actions took today are definitely eal estate for the future because blogadollar is built little by little more and more. We’ll try more tomorrow.

You must be pure genious if your tasks are not as heavy as these. Tell me.
